PiOT’s Occupational Therapists are focused on your needs

At PiOT, we have extensive experience working with people who are suffering from a variety of conditions such as:

  • Traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Strokes
  • Dementia
  • Amputations
  • Chronic pain
  • Psychological and emotional challenges
  • Orthopaedic conditions
  • Emotional & mental distress

Our OT’s start by assessing the injuries and problems of our clients and determining what disabilities the client is experiencing, and how their environment is helping or hindering their ability to engage in their daily activities.

We develop comprehensive and custom treatment plan and specific treatment goals in collaboration with the client and their family, which aim at helping them get back to the activities that once brought their lives meaning and joy. With hard work and devotion, amazing results are achievable.

We provide rehabilitation that incorporates teaching skills, providing exercises and developing new strategies and tools to improve their abilities to engage in activity and their life roles. Treatment may also include recommendations regarding how to make their environment safer and accessible. We incorporate their activities into our therapy practices to help accident and injury victims regain their independence in doing the things they love to do.

We also work in collaboration with the family doctors and specialists, the legal community, insurance companies, case managers, and the rest of the rehabilitation team to ensure that our clients receive the various supports they need to move forward with their lives after an illness, injury or accident.
