Occupational Therapist, Clinical Manager, CAT Assessor
The medical, legal and co-ordination requirements of any assessment can be time consuming and stressful for both you and your client. Here’s how our simplified process works:
If your client has been injured in a motor vehicle accident, a CAT Situational Assessment:
Shows our certified C-CAT occupational therapist evaluators the full extent of your client’s diagnosed injuries and how their everyday life at home, work and in the community is impacted.
Gives an independent, qualitative appraisal of the severity of an injury for legal proceedings and helps determine if they qualify for additional compensation under the catastrophic designation.
Can be requested for someone who sustained brain injury impairment, mental and behavioural impairment, or whole person impairment.
Our responsive and experienced team helps you with the medical legal documentation and assessments required for applications, including:
CAT Situational Assessment reports
OCF-18 submissions
OCF-19 completion by medical experts
GOSE Evaluation under Criterion 4 of the SABS
Executive summary reports that meet AMA guidelines
Comprehensive occupational therapist file reviews and reports
All of our CAT situational assessments are conducted by an occupational therapist who is C-CAT Certified by the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, which adds credibility to your case. They have experience as courtroom experts and can also speak Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Marathi.
If needed, our network of partnerships can connect you with experienced medical specialists like psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, physiatrists, neurologists and other medical specialists.
Your client has already been through enough. We’ll guide them throughout their assessment process.
PiOT’s team of medical professionals and therapists can also help your client go from a place of trauma to a place of thriving. We’re equipped to look after your client’s physical, mental and emotional rehabilitation and well-being based on the assessment’s findings.
