Lisa MartinArvinder Gaya
Lisa uses a client-centred approach to facilitate the return to meaningful occupations of those who have suffered traumatic injuries including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex orthopedic injury, and chronic pain. She has clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of adults and children with physical, neurological, psychological, and cognitive impairments. In addition, Lisa has completed courses including cognitive rehabilitation, the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS), mobility and seating assessment and device prescription, vehicle modification, visual deficits, transfers and lifts, pressure ulcers and management surfaces, Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT), life care planning, and the assessment of attendant care needs.
Lisa holds a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She is certified in the 3rdEdition of the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) for pain management.
In her spare time Lisa enjoys hiking, camping, travelling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
