Shahla Kara has worked as an Occupational Therapist since 2011. She has community experience as well as clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals with physical, neurological, psychological, and cognitive impairments.
Shahla has participated in conferences on insurance policy, seating and positioning, cognitive rehabilitation, mindfulness, energy conservation, geriatric intervention and vocational assessment and rehabilitation. She regularly attends courses, seminars and conferences to update her skills and expertise in assessment, rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention.
She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. She continued her education at McMaster University where she completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario.
Shahla has travelled to over 70 countries and was once a participant on The Amazing Race Canada.
