We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (Independent Contractor) to join our team.

You will be working with our clients in their homes and workplaces, and via our virtual platform to perform automotive-sector Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment.

Your responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting occupational therapy assessments in the client’s home, in hospital, at their workplace and/or in the community

Completing auto-sector specific assessments, including attendant care assessments and Form 1, CAT assessment and Future Cost of Care (if certified)

Conducting standardized cognitive assessments and other assessments as required for each client

Compiling auto sector insurance forms (OCF 18, OCF 3, OCF 6)

Writing thorough reports with recommendations specific to client needs

Collaborating with clients to set specific client-centered goals for treatment

Providing treatment intervention including consultation, education, recommending equipment or home modifications, cognitive training, and functional restoration programs specific to each client

Linking clients to community services, complete funding applications and complete applications required for specific programs

Organizing and scheduling your client appointments

Completing clinical notes and records, as per COTO standards

Attending team meetings with the rehabilitation team and or medical appointments with the client when required

Communicating and working effectively with the rehabilitation team, as well as the legal and insurance representatives

Submitting all documentations, forms and invoices in a timely manner

Our ideal candidate will have:

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Superior analytical, problem-solving and report writing skills

Passion for delivering exceptional client care and communication

Ability to work as an Independent Contractor

A minimum two years of experience in the MVA sector

Registered and be in good standing with COTO

Strong organizational and time management skills
