Amaresh Parikshya has experience practicing as an Occupational Therapist in both hospital and community settings. He is a duly qualified and registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
He graduated from the National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. He is a current member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT).
His current practice involves performing in-home assessments, Attendant Care Needs assessments, Situational Assessments, Future Care Costs Analyses, hospital discharge planning, worksite assessments, cognitive assessments, functional work capacity assessments, physical demands analyses and occupational therapy treatment sessions.
His specific areas of expertise include acquired/traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and cognitive impairment, seating and mobility, return to work and ergonomics.
