Vino Xavier has over 20 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist with diverse populations in the community, rehabilitation and acute settings in the United Kingdom and Canada.
She has clinical experience in the auto sector as well as with WSIB completing cognitive, physical, in-home and attendant care assessments as well as discharge planning, job demand analysis and worksite and ergonomic assessments. Vino is certified in the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) 4th Edition for pain management and has participated in continuing education courses including BrainFx, VoxNeuro, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Seating and Positioning, Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) in Dementia Care.
Vino also works as a community care-coordinator with the Local Health Integration Network directing and coordinating care for clients in their homes as well as collaborating with community agencies and partners, assisting clients to navigate community services, programs and resources.
Vino is a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Vino graduated with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Brighton, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies with Education from the University of Surrey, UK.
In her leisure time, Vino enjoys travelling, nature walks, camping, biking and spending time with her family and friends.
