We are looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant / Rehabilitation Coach to join our team.

You will be working with our clients in their homes, workplaces or in hospital, and via our virtual platform to perform treatments. You will also work closely with our occupational therapists to assist them on their files.

Your responsibilities and duties include:

Understanding and implementing the treatment plans set up by the occupational therapist or other rehabilitation professionals on the team

Indirect assistance on client files, including telephone calls, emails, research

Observing and monitoring the client’s performance and progress

Documenting session notes on the progress of the goals for each session

Compiling auto sector insurance forms (OCF 6) and assistance with OCF 18

Providing education or training to the client, their family members or caregivers for treatment and care

Linking clients to community services, completing funding applications and completing applications required for specific programs

Organizing and scheduling your client appointments

Communicating and working effectively with the rehabilitation team as well as the legal and insurance representatives, as required

Our ideal candidate will have:

Completed a two-year occupational therapy assistant program or physical therapy assistant program

Interest in working in an Independent Contractor position

Excellent collaboration skills and experience working in teams.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills
